Can a man pay 18 years of court ordered in advance using a cash advance on his City Bank Visa card using a cash advance? Will the state of Michigan expet this, yes or no. He says that if he does that and the mother never asks for a increase than City Bank can not put him in jail for not paying it and he can get a credit card debt discharged in Bankruptcy court?

Well, as long as he’s allowed to pay ahead in the state of Michigan, I suppose so. A cash advance is the same as cash. Once he gives that cash to someone else, it’s no longer his. It would be the same as borrowing the money from the bank. He can do what he likes with the cash, but is obligated to pay back the loan to the credit card company. If he’s willing to pay it all up front, and that is ok with the courts, the mother should take the money and run. It’s up to him at that point whether to pay back the credit card company or let it ruin his credit and declare bankruptcy.

No. Child support is based on the man’s income, not on the mother’s preference. Income changes dramatically over 18 years based on job, minimum wage, etc. Also, I’ve never heard of using a credit card, usually they set it up to deduct right from the paychecks, to avoid idiotic manuevers like the one you’re suggesting.
